Much to do in busy Southend

While many people will consider work or education as the key
consideration they need to make when it comes to time to change
their location, there will be a great number of people who also
want to take the chance to just go somewhere which will always give
them something to do and not leave them feeling bored.
Such a location can be found in Essex when people are looking for
property for sale in Southend-on-Sea. The large town is located
on the Essex coast and is some 40 miles outside of London, which
makes it close enough for those who want to visit, but far enough
away to miss out on the likes of high prices and city centre
premiums.
However, the biggest attraction that can be found by those who are
going to live in Southend-on-Sea will be the myriad of activities
which can be found in the town. One of these aspects is the fact
that Southend is home to the longest leisure pier in the world,
which will give young professional couples a great place to walk
together and enjoy the outside.
What is most attractive about the town though is its plentiful
annual occurrences. These include the likes of the Southend
Carnival on the Golden Mile, which is highlighted by the
illuminations and takes place every August.
It also plays host to the Southend-on-Sea Film Festival every year,
showing a mixture of local, independent and big name films, and the
Leigh Folk Festival, which allows people to enjoy some traditional
English music by the seaside in an idyllic location.
Other highlights of the town include its excellent transport links.
Being so close to London, it is served well by rail services taking
commuters or occasional visitors into the capital, as well as being
the location of London Southend Airport.
For those travelling more locally, there are bus services in
operation which will allow people to travel easily and consistently
around Essex.
