House pricing remains static
House prices in the UK have remained pretty static over the course
of the last year. This is in spite of the fact that the economic
conditions in the UK have recently led to the country falling back
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has reported that there
has been a slight drop in the price of houses on average over the
course of the last 12 months.
It said that the average price of a home in the UK fell by 0.4 per
cent in March of this year when compared to the same month in 2011,
showing a year of largely static prices.
In February, it had been reported that the price for an average UK
house was one per cent higher than it had been during 2011,
demonstrating that March had a slight slow down in prices.
However, Northern Ireland was one of the worst-faring regions,
where prices fell by their largest amount since 2008.
